Volleyball BC will be offering numerous Technical Courses throughout the 2010 / 2011 Season. In addition a Technical Level 3 course will be offered in the fall (details to follow).

The National Coaching Certification Program
 

Levels of Certification

The four (4) levels of certification are the following: 

Level 1 - Community

Level 2 - Provincial

Level 3 - National

Level 4 - Professional

How Do I Get Certified?

Volleyball BC conducts Technical courses several times a year and oversees the Practical component of the NCCP program.  The Multi-Sport theory component is run by www.coaches.bc.ca and offers courses in all regions of the province throughout the year.

Technical courses apply coaching principles for volleyball.  Skills, drills, training methods, strategy and tactics, detection and correction of errors plus psychological preparation are some of the topics covered in this component.

Coaching Development Grants

Through various programs such as Coaching Association of Canada, various grants are available to clubs to develop their coaches.  For more information, click HERE

GM Canada and the CAC are proud to award an additional 51 grants of $2,000 each for coaching skill development.   Deadline for application is September 21, 2009.  For more information, click HERE
